Kruttiventi Welcomes Law Enforcement “Surge”; Hits Swalwell as “Out of Touch”
PLEASANTON, CA – Today, Vin Kruttiventi released a statement on Governor Newsom’s announced “surge” of law enforcement resources to the East Bay region. Kruttiventi stated, "While I'm pleased to see Governor Newsom finally acknowledge the reality of the public safety crisis that has been ongoing in the East Bay, it is a tragedy that so many lives and businesses had to be devastated before this action was taken. Leaders have a responsibility to speak out and stand up for their community when it is in crisis.”
“Through the course of this crisis, Congressman Swalwell has been consistently silent while businesses were robbed, lives were destroyed, and residents lived in fear. Swalwell has once again proved to be out of touch and disconnected from the lived experience of the people in the 14th district. In fairness to Congressman Swalwell, he hasn't actually lived in the district for many years, so one can understand where that disconnect might originate from. Ultimately, the people of the East Bay deserve better than silence; they deserve to be heard. I'm running for Congress because the East Bay deserves a voice in Congress they can count on."
Vin Kruttiventi is a candidate for Congress seeking to represent California’s 14th Congressional District currently held by Congressman Eric Swalwell. The 14 th Congressional District is located entirely in Alameda County and includes all, or portions of Ashland, Cherry Land, Dublin, Fairview, Hayward, Fremont, Livermore, Pleasanton, San Leandro, Sunol and Union City.
